PADI Open Water Course

Why PADI Open Water Learn to Dive?
Have you always wanted to experience the splendour and beauty of the underwater world? Plunge down under on an adventure to discover the world’s most diverse ecosystem the Great Barrier Reef! Picture yourself face to face with sea turtles, tropical fish and many other different species of marine life that will have you screaming for more.
What do I need to get started?
  • Minimum age: 15 years old (12 for PADI JUNIOR Open Water Diver)
What will I do on the course?
The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases:
  • Knowledge Development in a classroom to understand basic principles of scuba diving
  • Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills
  • Open Water Dives to review your skills and explore!
If you’ve tried diving through a Discover Scuba Diving experience or resort course, the skills you learned may be credited towards a portion of the full PADI Open Water Diver course certification.
How long will it take?
The standard Open Water Course is run over 4 Days, with 2 days in the classroom/pool then 2 days at the Outer Great Barrier Reef on our luxury cruise vessel Osprey V.
There are also 5 Day Courses available that include extra days at the reef!
